A Reminder About Thread Titles.

Recently there have been a few thread titles that have not been in keeping with our standards. One problem was with a 'teaser' title. This is where someone posts something blatantly untrue or exaggerated, just to get people to read the thread. Please refrain from doing that.

Another problem is the vague phrase that by itself is meaningless. It's another form of a teaser to entice people to open the thread, and often results in people opening threads that they really aren't interested in.

Please try to make your topic titles both meaningful and accurate. Capitalization of main words is a big help too - it makes your thread title look like -- well, a title.

    Thanks.

One other thing to keep in mind: if any member needs to do a search for a specific topic in the future, and only searches on the subject line, it becomes a lot more difficult to find a specific thread or post. This also helps in the search results as well. If anything, keep the subject on target and don't abbreviate. Makes it easier for everyone. :agree:
