I was kind of shocked to hear the dulcet tones of Lani emanating from Sirius XM's Chill this morning. I won't spoil it for those who haven't heard it; here's a slightly different mix of the tune I heard, this one by Cafe del Mar with a lot of added ambient environmental sounds. The one on Chill this morning didn't have the screeching birds or ocean noises.

Those are always fun. That's like when Marie and I were wandering around an outdoor market in Cairns, Australia and of all things I heard Herb and Lani singing "Love Song" from SUN DOWN LADY, except there was a lot of moaning going on. Turns out it was a mix version by Mo' Horizons on an album called COME TOUCH THE SUN.

Pretty cool. I have to admire the talent of those mix-masters who can find a cool "groove" in the most unlikely places.
