today, I was digging way back into the racks and I pulled billy joel's TURNSTILES. while listening, I realized what a great song AN ANGRY YOUNG MAN would have been for carpenters to perform in concert; keyboards beyond belief, great drums,, and a screaming guitar for tony!

I would love to hear a live version of 'Solitaire' - the complete Carpenters version. Only thing is, I don't think they performed it live.

I was amazed to hear the live version of 'Ave Maria', recorded late in Karen's performing life. She almost perfectly duplicated the studio version. I would think that would be a difficult song to sing.
