OK, there are so many what if..... threads now.

And I've always been bothered by Merry Christmas Darling b/w Mr. Guder. Really?

Let's be timey wimey, wibbly, wobbly. How's about Merry Christmas Darling b/w Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (1974).

Or Road Ode b/w Druscilla Penny.

Your Wonderful Parade w/Mr. Guder?

You see a theme, I'm sure.

Context is everything! What songs would you put together for potential singles that never were?

Where Do I Go From Here?/The Uninvited Guest

Yesterday Once More/Those Good Old Dreams

Ticket to Ride/Where Do I Go From Here?

...I hope I'm doing this right. :sweating:

Let's be timey wimey, wibbly, wobbly.

I'd spot a Doctor Who fan anywhere

My fantasy singles missed from certain years would be:

1971
Let Me Be The One / One Love

1972
Road Ode / Crystal Lullaby
A Song For You / Another Song

1975
Tryin' To Get The Feeling Again / Happy

1977
B'Wana She No Home / Two Sides

1983
You're Enough / Prime Time Love
Ordinary Fool / This Masquerade

1984
What Are You Doing New Year's Eve / Home For The Holidays

1989

Kiss Me The Way You Did Last Night / The Uninvited Guest
Slow Dance / Honolulu City Lights (Double A-side)

A Song for You:
Road Ode/It's Going to Take Some Time (in a universe where Road Ode is the single release instead of IGTTSM)

Horizon:
Desperado/Solitaire (with Desperado being the third single and Solitaire just the b-side)
Happy/I Can Dream Can't I (Happy deserved a single release, would have been a great summer song on the radio)

AKOH:
Can't Smile Without You/I Need to Be In Love (with Can't Smile as the single release)
You/Ordinary Fool

VOTH:
Now/At the End of a Song

LOVELINES:

You're the One/Honolulu City Lights

Karen's Album (if it had been released in 79-80 as planned):
My Body Keeps Changing My Mind/Still Crazy After All These Years (released in 79 to test the waters before Disco was totally dead and before the album was released)
If I Had You/Love Makin' Love to You (I realize the latter was an unreleased song, but its better than some of the songs that actually made the album).
Still In Love With You/If We Try

Another that strikes me: I Kept on Loving You/Another Song.
Probably not a hit, but that's an interesting pairing on CTY.

The Parting Of Our Ways/Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing
I've Had The Time of My Life/Remind Me To Tell You
Say Yeah/Remember When Loving Took All Night
Do You Hear What I Hear?/What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?
(There's No Place Like) Home For The Holidays/I'll Be Home For Christmas
Who Do You Love?/Daddy's Home
Guess I Just Lost My Head/Jimmy Mack
