I try not to suggest too much around here, since I have so many piles of Brazilian music lying around and could break the internet posting stuff :wink:, but this one can't be avoided, especially for any other "tribe members" here. I picked this up on Amazon, but both sides of the LP are available on YouTube:





You'll recognize several of the tunes, but here's the thing--they're sung in Hebrew! It's hilarious (to me, anyway) to hear a song like "Voce Abusou" being sung with words like "hashem", and then there's the questionable pleasure of hearing a gorgeous melody being obliterated with the Hebrew letter cheth (which sounds approximately like the biggest hairball your cat has ever coughed up). Nice arrangements, though, with some good choral work that reminds me of the collaborations between MPB4 and Quarteto em Cy.
