Going Out Of My Head - drum beat - or no drum beat

While perusing some tracks in Media Player, I stumbled onto the fact that there are some versions of "Going Out Of My Head" by Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 that start with a bass drum beat, and some that eliminate it.

Those discs without the drum-beat are:

    GREATEST HITS
    MI HISTORIA
    SERIE GRANDES NOMES
ULTIMATE COLLECTION - 50th ANNIVERSARY EDITION
    THE VERY BEST
    and the 45 single

Curiously, those mentioned above tend to have a brighter sound to them, whereas the ones with the opening drum beat tend to be on the duller side in EQ.

I noticed that myself I think there might have been two masters of the song and the one without the bass drum must be the one used for the single while the one with bass drum was from the album master just my guess or they might have mixed it around a bit
