Popular Brazilian singer Isabella Taviani has recently released an album of Carpenters covers, entitled "Carpenters Avenue". Half of the songs were recorded in Brazil, and the other half were recorded at Capitol studios in Hollywood. Of note is a duet with Dionne Warwick on "Close to You", and a duet with Monica Mancini on "Sometimes". The latter uses the original piano demo that Henry Mancini recorded for Richard.

I like what I'm hearing in those samples. The arrangements are different enough to be interesting, yet keeping nicely in spirit with the originals. She has a really warm voice! I like it. Thanks for sharing, Murray.

I would like to hear her sing them in Spanish with natural vowel placement.
Dionne sounds great in Close To You!
