Bassist, Pat Senatore, is passing on the baton as Artistic Director for Vibrato. He's known for his impeccable sense of time, velvet sound and technical mastery. His extensive resume includes stints with Stan Kenton, The Tijuana Brass, Peggy Lee, Carmen McRae, Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Eddie Harris, Joe Pass…to name a few. He also owned and operated his own jazz club, Pasquale’s, on the beach in Malibu.

Best wishes and happy retirement to Pat. May you have a long and healthy retirement!

I was fortunate to meet Pat again last November at Vibrato. He shared some memories with me from the TJB days from their 69 tour to Sweden this time, which was a lot of fun. Last year when I met him he memorized about the Christmas Album which was just out in the new remastered version. At 81 it is understandable that he retires, but he will be missed.

- Greetings from the cold north -

Vibrato web site indicates that the new Artistic Director is Shawn Amos, formerly of Shout! Factory.
