I wonder what year this was taped for the BBC, is this a new show? I just watched clip 5 of 6, Richard and Karen are featured and Richard speaks with a passion on this topic. There is a short live clip from the BBC with Karen singing. Jimmy Webb is also featured as well. It really takes you back in time listening to all these songs. I love these songs from the 70's.

Richard get heated at around 3:40 and then I laughed when he says, they got to keep their jobs lol Interesting stuff with regard to their career.

I've had this for 12 months, it was on BBC again this Christmas, it has a companion show of performances of easy listening at the BBC which features many A&M artists K&R, Sergio Mendes, Feliciano, Herb Alpert as well as Humperdinck, Clayderman, The Seekers etc.

What clip is that of K&R doing Rainy Days? It's a beautiful live version!

That would be live at the BBC 1971, she really put her soul into that one, huh? This almost got a DVD release years ago. This show really needs an official release by Richard with added bonus features, it was during their prime time in the music business, they both look and sound great, it just doesn't make sense why something like this can't be released in pure digital format.

Yuka's site is still up and says:
    <New DVD "Live at BBC" >(Feb. 14,2007)
*Rumors long have been said Richard had obtained rights to Carpenters BBC performances. Finally, it will come out as DVD"Live at BBC". It is slated to be released on April, 25. 2007 in Japan. According to my source, it should contain 60 minute documenatry on Carpenters including Richard's latest interview, '76 gig (27 min.), '74 gig(45min.) and 71 gig (50 min.). I wonder if 71 footage includes Tony Joe White??

<Postponed or cancelled?! : New DVD "Live at BBC" >(May. 26,2007)
*Nothing unusual about another push back. Universal Music International Japan has pulled out DVD"live at BBC" from their upcoming release schedule. UMI does not know if it means a push back or a cancellation. They hope it is a push back. It sounded like it has gotten on hold by Richard's request.
