I'm not usually a fan of dance remixes for listening purposes. They contain long repetitive breaks that are meant for mixing with other tracks by the DJ, so they tend to be pretty boring.

The ARARA version of "Mas Que Nada" hasn't dated too well for me. Lots of Sergio's '80s material has that over-synthesized, uber-processed feel to it that hasn't aged well. I really enjoyed this one when it first came out but these days, I prefer the original the most. My second favorite is the recent "Rio" version featuring Gracinha on vocals.

Do you mean the real original from 1966? Or were you comparing the 1989 ARARA version to this remix?

Well - of the various 1989 versions I would prefer the original. But of ALL the versions I prefer the 1966 "original" original! :)

As long as I don't have to hear the Timeless version, I'm cool with it. The version from the "Rio" film is probably my favorite of the modern versions he has recorded.
