THE PLACE I LOVE
Splinter
SP-22001
(Dark Horse Records)
The first album released after the deal between George Harrison's Dark Horse Records and A&M Records as distributor. It was given catalog number SP-22001 and although there is a recent Korean label that's released it, it's largely never seen the light of day since its original release.
George Harrison is all over this one. If you look carefully at the credits I've posted from the rear of the jacket, you an see listings for "Hari Georgeson", "P. Roducer", and "Jai Raj Harisein" - all are George's aliases. The first single from the album was "Costafine Town" and I recall it getting a lot of airplay on the rock stations of the day.
It all sounds like a latter-day Beatles album.
