someone washing a window? its not really what it sounds like but its the best description I can give, almost sounds like an animal, maybe something hooting, JORGE BEN - Hino do flamengo has it, tonnes of brasilian songs have it... Can someone tell me the name of this instrument? Better yet does someone want to send me one?

It's called a cuica, pronounced kwee-ka.

It's a common instrument in Brazilian music.

Yeah, I agree with Harry...it sounds like what you're describing is probably the cuica. Listen to Lapinha and you'll hear it.
