I Sure read this and it confirmed everything I suspected worst case scenario and all which just shows in my opinion Universal just doesn't have a good track record when it comes to protecting their first generation masters and that's just one of their many issues as has been discussed elsewhere still it's a very sad situation that could have been avoided.Right here: Anyone read this? Actually Herb Got His Masters back as a part of A Legal Settlement with Universal ( who bought Polygram in 1998 which Herb and Jerry sold A&M To in 1989) and Herb and Jerry Sued Polygram a few years before the Universal buyout of Polygram which has been discussed elsewhere on this forumSmart for Herb Alpert to have bought back all of his masters (or so it is assumed) while he had the chance. I had heard about this fire, but didn't really know specifics until reading the above post.
