I was wondering if ABBA and the CARPENTERS ever sang together? I know that they met in 1977 or 1978 in Europe for the STAR PARADE shows which were very popular there. What did they think of each other? Were the Carpenters fans of the Swedish pop superstars? Has ABBA made any comments on our US singing songbirds? I wish Karen had recorded the song THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL and THE NAME OF THE GAME. THese songs would have been tailored for her voice. I know that they did a live version of THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC on the TONIGHT SHOW with guest host John Davidson. And at this time, Karen did a cute snippet of SING in Japanese getting a large applause from the audience.

Richard also managed to produce an ABBA song with Veronique, "One Of Us", another song that Karen would have nailed.
