38 Special's one of those acts that my favorite songs are their hits. I had several of the albums and always felt that they picked the best songs as singles. So, today I have their "A&M Years" CD and that's it.

The band was in concert this year at MontanaFair (Billings) and sounded excellent. Too loud, but excellent.

Rock and roll is never too loud. :D

(Rock and roll ain't noise pollution. :roodytiphat: )

If it's distorted, it is. (Remember Cerwin-Vega's motto...."Loud is beautiful, if it's clean." Truer words were never spoken!)

Actually the concert might have sounded bad to us because of where we were sitting. We were off to the side of the stage.

The lead singer of The Ides Of March & the former keyboardist for Survivor (when they released their debut in late 1979), Jim Peterik co wrote "Rockin' Into The Night" as well as "Hold On Loosely" & "Fantasy Girl" (from their next album in 1981 "Wild Eyed Southern Boys") & in 1982, the songs "Caught Up In You" & "You Keep Runnin' Away" (from "Special Forces").
