The songs on this Cat Stevens album revolve around the concept of a distant planet whose inhabitants distribute numbers to the rest of the universe. His own drawings are contained in the booklet accompanying the LP and CD reissue.

Tracks:
Whistlestar 3:47/ Novim's Nightmare 3:52/ Majik of Majiks 4:31/ Drywood 4:56/ Banapple Gas 3:09

Land O'Freelove and Goodbye 2:49/ Jzero 3:47/ Home 4:13/ Monad's Anthem 2:17.

Guest artists include Art Garfunkle and David Sanborn.

NUMBERS entered the Billboard Top 200 on December 13, 1975 and remained in the charts for 19 weeks, peaking at Number 13, according to Whitburn's "Top Pop Albums."

Available on CD through Amazon.

This album, unlike Cat's other works didn't quite contain any real hits, such as "Peace Train" or "Moon Shadow"...

The guest appearances by Sanborn & Garfunkel are just a couple examples of the experimentation Stevens would later make the "transition" to...

I remember for the longest time you couldn't find this cd anywhere except the 3 cd MFSL set, and even that was well over $100.
