Side 1 looks pretty short; is it really eleven-minutes?

Side 2 seems like it runs at seventeen-minutes, so maybe the bonus cuts were originally planned to be joined w/ Side 1, then?

Is "Eve Of Destruction" the Barry McGuire song? (Written by P.F. Sloan) And "The Sounds Of Silence" the same tune penned by Paul Simon, done by Simon & Garfunkel? And is "Silent Night" the "Silent Night", heard during Christmas?

Dave

I don't own this one but am sure it's within Mr. Bill's area of expertise,
JB

I wonder if that's the same "Eve Of Destruction" that Barry McGuire recorded? (Oops, Dave already asked this).

Then is "Banana Splits" the one from the TV show of the same name?

Capt. Bacardi

Well, there is a "Paranoid" on there--& given that Mr. Bill's "expertise" is needed here, then, could it be the Black Sabbath song????

I've edited the initial post to include album personnel and a link to the official site,

It seems the answer to all of our questions is "yes". I went to the All Music Guide site and they have song samples there of this album. The songs are all short, furious and fast. They're described as the "clown princes of punk". They even do the Black Sabbath song "Paranoid".

I bought this LP when it came out, it was on yellow vinyl and was a really thin pressing similar to the old 'Dynaflex' pressings, not far off flexidisc territory.
Being a kid, the pressing quality meant nothing to me, I just liked the crazy hyperactive energy of it all. Bought the follow-up too, "Dawn Of The Dickies"...

I've heard The Dickies described a "cartoon Ramones for 8-year-olds" which kinda makes sense.

I was all of 10 when I got the LP, but anyways....
