I have this on LP, haven't heard it in YEARS......remember really liking some cuts, not so much others....all the Hal Willner albums (STAY AWAKE, the Kurt Weill and Nino Rota ones too) were like that for me.

Same here. Stay Awake is my fave of the batch but the Kurt Weill one is a close second. Did you get the CD I sent you?

Yes! Forgive me for not writing. It accompanied me driving around LA a few weeks ago. It tickled me to hear marimba flourishes in the middle of the praise music; and it made me smile to think that this is a group of people that, thanks to you, know more about Julius Wechter than any La Mesa worship band has a right to....as you know, I'm from SD, and I'm sure I've driven by that church before.

All the best and God bless.

Lot of good tracks here, as well as some peculiar ones. My favorite cuts are "Evidence" (nothing like a soprano sax/drum duet), "Bemsha Swing", "Blue Monk", "Misterioso" and "In Walked Bud". Nice mix of jazz and pop musician collaborations. Never been able to find this on CD at a reasonable price.
