This splendid recording from 1964 was written and arranged by Eumir Deodato. What a happy, upbeat well-crafted song. A perfect blend of vocal and instrumental. Vocalists Lucio Alves and Sylvia Telles are wonderful and even do a bit of scat singing. The instrumentalists we know so well include Joao Palma on drums and Bossa composer extraordinaire Roberto Menescal on guitar. This song is Bossa Nova at its best.

The video photo shows some incredible talent from that period: From left to right--Baden Powell, Lucio Alves, Sylvia Telles, and Vinicius de Moraes.

Eumir Deodato turned 80 this year. His Brazilian musical associates--Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and Milton Nascimento also turned 80. I salute their awesome talent.
