Does anyone own this 3 CD boxed set of the "Close to You", "Carpenters", and "A Song For You" albums?
    What's the sound quality like?

The three albums, CLOSE TO YOU, CARPENTERS, and A SONG FOR YOU, are represented by the exact same discs as were sold in the Remastered Classics Series. Even down to the misprint on CARPENTERS that says "CAREPENTERS". Sound quality is of course the same as those individual releases.

The three discs are housed on the two inside "pages", with the three CD inserts, again identical with the jewel-case versions, stacked in the fourth "slot".

If you don't have those three CDs, this is a decent way to get them all at once, and they arguably contain most of the best songs of Carpenters output.

    Thanks, Harry!
I had seen these once at Costco, and I wasn't in the mood to buy it. Sounds like I just missed the box.

Of course it’s interesting that it used a photo from the “Ticket To Ride” photo shoot (although I think those shots might’ve originally been intended for “Close To You” from what I’ve read).
