As A&M should celebrate 40 years as a name / logo at least in 2002 , further to other A&M Corner messages re : re-issues / special sets to mark this occasion , Carpenters and other A&M Artists should have special sets issued by Universal.
Perhaps sets could mix key Singles with Album tracks or some alterate takes for Alpert , Bacharach , Sergio , Carpenters, Police etc ?
Ideally for 2003 some new Carpenters Tribute sets could be produced , perhaps with country or pop-country Artists such as Anne Murray, Dolly Parton , Trisha Yearwood, Alison Krauss plus some good male vocalists ?
Richard could re-arrange , produce a new set with Carpenters classics plus two / three newly composed Carpenter-Bettis songs with talent such as KD Lang , Amy Grant , Roberta Flack , Glen Campbell etc for a re-take on familar Carpenters tracks.
Wonder whether anyone has the belief and support at Universal to back these types of projects ?
