This amazing Christmas album is a treat start to finish.
I think it was made even more special for us die-hard fans because the previous album, "Passage", was such a departure.
When "Portrait" comes on, and Karen's first vocal performance is "Christmas Waltz" in which she sounds warm and refined- the "old" Carpenters sound we had grown accustomed to love, -let's be honest- it makes us melt once again.
Still remember drinving home from Tower Records next to Knott's Berry Farm, anxiously waiting to play this treasure...
