It's always been a puzzle that Paula Stone could contribute the title song and "Righteous Life" to STILLNESS and then just vanish.

I've yet to find out anything about her on the web. Does anyone know any other songs by her?

I'm beginning to wonder if "Paula Stone" is a pseudonym for somebody else. But who?

There's an old Billboard article on Google that mentions she's been signed to a personal contract by Sergio and that he will be producing an album for her (which obviously never happened).

When I met her back in 1970(?), leaving Detroit's Masonic Temple Auditorium after escorting(!) Judy Collins to her dressing room, that's the name she used when she introduced herself. Said she was an aspiring songwriter and wanted to meet Judy, possibly to sell her songs, IMHO. When I bought the Stillness album and saw her name and that she was from Detroit, it clicked in my mind (as I mentioned in an earlier archived thread)....

PAULA STONE has a site on LINKEDIN
with her image a further site is viewable with details and images of
her and STLLNESS album cover.
She seems to have worked for Sergio for some years per the LINKEDIN
page.
Currently she is the on line editor for IMMORTAL BLISS MAGAZINE
Her name is PAULA NESSELSON (STONE)
Resides in Michigan.
This info came from, Rodney Davis.

Does anyone else remember "MUMFORD" T-shirts?

Think back to Beverly Hills Cop. Eddie Murphy wore those shirts through part of the film. So yes, it was a real high school. The film's producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, was an alumnus of the school as Paula Stone was. Other notables who graduated from Mumford were jazz guitarist Earl Klugh, Motown guitarist Cornelius Grant, the gospel group The Winans, songwriter ("September," Boogie Wonderland", etc. for Earth Wind & Fire) Allee Willis, Bob Shaye (co-founder of New Line Cinema), Bruce Joel Rubin (screenwriter of Deep Impact and Ghost, among others), and the notorious Ivan Boesky (who was convicted for his part in the insider trading scandal on Wall St. in the 80s).
