I think this is such a gentle song by Karen. It makes me feel sleepy. I really like a lot of the songs that John Bettis and Richard Carpenter wrote...Another Song, Crescent Noon, Maybe It's You, One Love, Yesterday Once More etc. A lot of their songs have unusual themes in their songs and are not your normal song. By that I mean, that their songs vividly bring images to my mind, more so, than other songs...Maybe It's You-I always think of a beach, rising waves and throwing a penny into the waves...Crescent Noon-I think of the changing seasons in a mournful way...etc.
Crystall Lullaby is well done. All the instruments are in their right places and Karen's lead vocal is superb as always.
