at this moment THE BEATLES have never heard
this album. neither has MIA FARROW nor
SHIRLEY MACLAINE and DONOVAN. FRANK
SINATRA couldn't care less and, unless the CIA
got a hold of a copy, PRESIDENT JOHNSON and
MRS. HUMPHREY probably haven't heard it. we
would have loved to audition this album for
PRINCESS GRACE, LEE RADZIWILL and
HUGH HEFNER, but we couldn't get them on
the phone. MAO TSE TUNG and SHIRLEY
TEMPLE BLACK have nothing to do with the
album. neither does CHARLES DE GAULLE and
ELIZABETH TAYLOR, FIDEL CASTRO and
PETULA CLARK, HOWARD HUGHES, DR.
SPOCK, EDDIE FISHER or JOHNNY CARSON
and JOEY BISHOP. no, none of these people have
heard THE MASHUGANISHI YOGI at this time.
if YOU should decide to BUY this album, these
liner notes will self-destruct in three seconds.
good luck.

Joey Forman is a lavishly talented actor and comedian. The credentials to support this effusive praise are inherent in his record as a highly sought after motion picture, television, and night club performer. The credentials to support his being a Guru are still being investigated.

Dana's Raga Time Band... Ha-ha. How funny.

I recall that Dana and Foreman were mixed up with the comedy program, Get Smart, which may suggest the kind of humour present. I guess this is A&M's first comedy record (not including all those Chris Montez LPs, of course).

I wanted to point out that I just came across a fantastic and very interesting interview with Bill Dana from last year. It touches on this album (the Beatles killed it  ), as well as his work throughout his career. A lot of interesting insider tidbits.

What really impresses me is that the interviewer is only in his late 20s, yet is like a walking encyclopedia of this type of stuff.

Indeed it was! It is also a newer interview, and Dana is, what, 87 or so years old? Still sharp as a tack!
