It would be a cool place to work, that's for certain. And I think I have the turntable covered. 
One of the offshoots of Discogs is VinylHub--it is a database of record stores, with user-contributed data just like Discogs' album listings. I had my own idea about a decade ago where I wanted to do something similar, but the technical end of it was challenging. It's still a work in progress but basically, they've nailed it.
