I've always heard Dom Um Romao as a percussionist, so it's nice to hear his drum work here as well. As expected, this is a nice collection of Brazilian and jazz sounds with a lot of percussion. But it's not bombastic at all. Lots of nice solos from the various flute players as well as some sax work and even some wah-wah guitar (which is not always a good thing). Lots of different time signatures as well. Some of the highlights for me are "Family Talk", with a hip harpsichord solo by Joao Donato plus a sizzling flute solo (unfortunately no indication as to who played this), "Ponteio" with Sivuca's piano work, "Braun-Blek-Blu" which is a percussion jam, "Highway" that features what sounds like a piccolo to me. Good stuff all around!
