I stumbled upon this performance of a medley including many recognizable melodies that Earle Dumler has performed during the years. I didn't realize he had such a varied career in television, motion pictures and the record business. He is really versatile! There are multiple snippets of Carpenters songs in this medley, specifically "Superstar" at 0:26, "I Need to Be in Love at 4:00, "For All We Know" at 6:07 and "Maybe It's You" at 8:52.

I love Earle's playing. The oboe is one of my favorite instruments. His presence on Carpenter's songs is so important and moving for me. His playing created the mood for some of these songs. I wish he would of played on every single Carpenter's song.
