One final comment - the range of the male bass voice is (typically) from F2 to C4 (1st F below the bass staff to middle C). This can be shown symbolically like this: F2 G2 A3 B3 C3 D3 E3 F3 G3 A4 B4 C4 - this overlaps the baritone range considerably. Now, if Karen was singing easily deep within the baritone range, all the way down to the D3 note, she can also be considered to be singing bass, able to cover the top 7 notes of that range...no wonder she was effortlessly handling her parts of so many of those 13+ note chords they used in overdubbing their harmony vocals...
