Eric Gale's name turns up on many of the Kudu Records releases, yet this is the only album of his own for the label. A nice little record that will appeal to many, including those who aren't necessarily jazz or soul fans--a good example of Creed Taylor's ability to create recordings that cross genres easily. Drummer Idris Muhammad provides the solid groove behind these tunes (and he was a Kudu regular as well), and Hubert Laws puts in an appearance as well.
