Polar AC was compiled as Freddie Hubbard's final album with CTI Records after he departed for Columbia Records. A1 was recorded during the sessions for First Light, and B1 was recorded during the Sky Dive sessions. A2 and A3 were recorded April 12, 1972, and B2 in 1973.
