I have this one. I need to give it more time to grow on me. It's in-the-pocket CTI with Sebesky...updated to the early '70s. I'm betting all that solid lead trumpet work is from Johnny Frosk.

I haven't spun it much myself. Maybe that's our homework over the next couple of weeks. 😁

I spun it today. Total CTI job -- actually it recalls the CTi/A&M era. For instance, the arrangement on White Rabbit brings to mind The Other Side of Abbey Road. Overall not a bad listen. I'd give it 3/5: it's produced with care, the musicians are solid and their playing is in the pocket...yet, it's more akin to "another CTI..." (in the best positive light) in that it's not really breaking any new ground in the jazz/pop world.

Overall, it's like updating his 1968-69 CTi sound with the world of 1971-72.
