No, it's not a old movie. Apparently, according to Herb Alpert, Gregory Peck was once considered to do the recitation in the middle of the Sandpipers song "Guantanamera." This was revealed in an interview back in the 80s on a radio show with host Jim Pewter. Universal, in its effort to "sell" mp3 files to the public, has a site called emusic.com, and the only "Alpert" reference on the site is this interview with herb from the '80s. On the site (at http://www.emusic.com/cd/10604/10604023.html ) you can listen to 30 second snippets of the program, and track 5 reveals that the recitation in the middle of "Guantanamera" isn't one of the Sandpipers, but was producer Tommy LiPuma.
