Herb's 50 Albums

After my now-daily check to see if there are new concert dates added to Herb's website, today I looked at his "Music" page and realized that not all his albums are listed on there. The "Music" list hasn't been updated since Catch the Wind came out -- I guess they are too busy adding TJB dates!

So that got me curious about Herb's list of albums. I compiled the ones listed on the website -- there are only 42 listed. So I started my own list.

I added everything since Catch The Wind to my list, which still only gave me 45.

Wikipedia was the next step. There, I found three more of his solo albums that weren't on the website - Wild Romance, My Abstract Heart, and Under a Spanish Moon.

That only makes 48.

Then I realized that Just You And Me wasn't listed in either place. So after adding it, we have 49.

The count includes Lost Treasures, but does NOT include any of the hits compilations. I think LT should be included since it consists mostly of previously unreleased songs (and mixes).

The one album that has seemingly been lost to the ages is Whipped Cream & Other Delights - ReWhipped. Thanks to sharp-eyed A&M Corner regular Harry, it is now restored to its rightful place in the list.

Ah yes! How did I miss Re-Whipped! I'm going to go into Wikipedia right now and add it and Just You And Me to the list.

I like Re-Whipped too, for the most part. So I won't mind giving it a spin.

I'm kinda surprised Herb's team didn't think about trying to register tijuanabrass.com and discover it. Or maybe they did and they prefer to keep everything in one place at herbalpert.com. I guess that kinda makes sense since this TJB tour will probably be a one time event.

I got it really early on and was surprised to see it. Honestly, it gets such low traffic that the expected boost never really happened, and any content I created seemed to fall on deaf ears...er, eyes?

I mean, if I really ever got in hot water over it, I could take down the music content and pivot to sell imported brass trinkets from a border town in Mexico. 😇
