I think Richard chose the wrong song from EVITA FOR KAREN TO SING..

Karen recorded the epic song from EVITA BUT a much better song choice for Karen to record would have been the lush, extremely sexy ballad “I’D be good for you”. The song would have displayed and emphasized Karen’s lush and emotive lower register. It’s a beautifully written song with VERY SEXY and alluring lyrics with great chord changes as well. Then throw in an awesomely played sexy sax solo at the break and Karen would have had a sure fire hit.. It would have showcased Karen’s voice in a whole new way with a much more adult theme and image. Karen was wanting to break out of the goodie four shoes shtick that a lot of their music trapped them in. If you listen to Madonna’s version you can hear Karen’s voice just tearing the song up and taking it to a new level. I think that pairing of artist and song would have been a sure fire hit for the duo. Karen wanted a sexier more adult image. Would love to get YOUR thoughts and feedback on this idea.

This version was quite popular in the UK shortly after Evita came out. It's quite dramatic, different from the Madonna version.
