Since we had the time switch today I was wondering what songs are out there that have to do with "time". Some that automatically come to mind for me are:

Time After Time (Cyndi Lauper)
No Time For Time (Herb Alpert; Brenda Russell)
Time (Richard Carpenter)
Time (Pink Floyd)
Hazy Shade Of Winter ("Time, time, time, see what's become of me" - Simon & Garfunkel)

Come Down In Time -- Judy Collins, Al Kooper, Elton John (--Well the song is HIS...!)

The Best Of Times -- STYX

Time Good, Time Bad -- Bobby Goldsboro (Wish the album it's on would go on CD...!)

Time In A Bottle -- Eddie Kendricks (--Of the Temptations...! --I couldn't believe it myself...!)

Time -- Alan Parsons Project (--Even though it kind'a... --ZZZzzz...)

“Just In Time” (Comden/Styne/Green)
Performed by the late, great, Dean Martin, on his album “This Time I’m Swingin!”

That makes this post a two timer!

Regards,
Mike

Whoa! One more two timer…

“As Time Goes By” from the Baja Marimba Band’s album, “As Time Goes By”

Methinks it’s time to give it a rest!

Mike

Yes, but...

--Time Won't Let Me...! -- The Outsiders

...Whoa!, Yow! :freak:

Dave :badteeth:

How about the album by The Time called, "What Time Is It?" :D

How could you guys over look this A&M classic album, "Look Sharp!" by Joe Jackson? It has *two* "time" songs on it! "One More Time" opens the album, and "Got The Time" (one of my favorite JJ songs) closes it.

And… we wouldn’t want to overlook Herb Alpert’s rendition of “Summertime”.

I’m not so sure that Gershwin would recognize his own song the way Herb performs it on the album “Summertime”.

Hey, another time twofer!

Another timely post by,
Mike

"25 or 6 to 4" actually refers to time, also...as in, 25 or 26 minutes to 4:00. (Heard this on an hour program w/ Chicago recently.)

DUH! "Time Out Of Mind", Steely Dan! Of all people, Rood should have known this...

Oh jeez, and my favorite Dave Brubeck Quartet albums:

Time Out
Time Further Out
Countdown: Time in Outer Space
Time Changes
Time In

These are all available in the box set "For All Time".

There is also an earlier Columbia album called "Brubeck Time", but it referred to Brubeck's article in Time magazine, not to the time signature experiments on these five albums.

And don't forget his career retrospective box set: "Time Signatures".

From Sergio Mendes’ album, Favorite Things, we have “Tempo Feliz (Happy Times)”

And, from his A&M album, Confetti, “Let’s Give a Little More This Time”

Havin’ a good time,
Mike

How 'bout "Time (Clock Of The Heart)" by Culture Club and "One More Time, Chuck Corea" by the Singers Unlimited. We've also got "Praying For Time" by George Michael.

I think I'm runnin' outta time...

Nancy Sinatra – Good Time Girl

Doris Day – My Dreams Are Getting Better All The Time

Tony Orlando & Dawn – Knock Three Times

Is it Hammer Time?

OK, it’s time for a timeout.
Mike

Led Zeppelin: "Good Times, Bad Times".

One of my favorite songs as of late: "The Madison Time" by Ray Bryant. "That's two up, two back, double-cross, and come out of it with the rifleman......HIT IT!"

Cra-zay!
