........ haven't seen the film yet but was pleasantly surprised to learn a track from James Burton's 1971 A&M album has been included. The original version, written by Tony Joe White, is the opening track of SP 4293. Guitarist Burton backed many notable artists, including Elvis Presley. The King was unable to use some studio time due to illness. That's how the Burton solo outing came to fruition.

Update: Finally went to see "Ford vs. Ferrari" last night and highly recommend it. You don't need to be a racing fan or automotive historian to appreciate the story or the fine acting by Christian Bale, Matt Damon and the cast.

Burton's "Polk Salad Annie" is heard three times in the film, including two segments in the story and in its entirety as the lead song in the closing credits.

The Soundtrack also includes "Kustom Kar Show" by Dave Marks & the Marksmen, an early A&M single from 1964.

All in all an outstanding cinematic experience.
