Actress Yvette Mimieux has died at 80 years old.
Ms. Mimieux was one of my two boyhood crushes way back in the 60s, after I saw her in George Pal's The Time Machine... (The other was Hayley Mills after I saw Disney's In Search of the Castaways).

Sad she's gone. I may need to re-watch The Black Hole now (Disney's first PG film, IIRC)

Burke Shelley of the heavy metal rock group Budgie -- which recorded for A&M in the mid-70s -- died on 1-10-2022 at age 71. The band had three releases on the label: BANDOLIER, IF I WERE BRITTANIA I'D WAIVE THE RULES, and IMPECKABLE. Budgie was not commercially successful in the U.S. but greatly influenced Rush, Metallica and later arriving notables in their field.
