Jerry Moss Music Center Tribute

[Reason to believe]

Variety has an article on a recent tribute to A&M Co-Founder Jerry Moss which was held recently. Maybe I am missing something and if so please correct me--I see no mention of Richard or Karen Carpenter (except some of the artists at the event performing some Carpenters medleys).

I found this very odd since the Carpenters essentially bailed out A&M in the late 60s- early 70's when the company was struggling.

Am I off on this point?
