In the course of my current employment...Today, I was flabbergasted by a woman in another department who had the Karen hair style circa 1971/72. The bangs, the teased hair in back, and the hair on the sides over the shoulders. And that dark brown! I was waiting at the counter with two of my co-workers. I kept looking at her trying not to stare. She mentioned something about a "grandchild", so I am thinking baby-boomer. She absolutely nailed that Karen "do". I wanted to tell her she looked like KC, but how many people nowadays know who Karen Carpenter was? If I could've taken her photo without coming off as a total "stalker" I would've. Her hair style was the spitting image of Karen in this video:
