I've never owned any Liza Minnelli albums until I recently obtained her COMPLETE A&M RECORDINGS 2-CD set. Naturally, the entire contents of FOURSIDER is contained in such a set.

Side One of this FOURSIDER contains live recordings from her LIVE AT THE OLYMPIA IN PARIS. The other three sides are culled from her three studio albums for the label, LIZA MINNELLI, COME SATURDAY MORNING, and NEW FEELING.

I have the CD. I enjoy the live songs the most; live is what Liza does best.

Mike

Mike: question - The picture above shows the album with the angled track titles in the black sections. I know that the album probably came both ways, so I'm not too concerned about that fact, but if I'm reading it right, those titles indicate that "Everybody's Talkin'-Good Morning Starshine" is the first song on "Side One". But online lists indicate that the "Introduction" track starts things off. Is "Introduction" included on your CD? Is it a separate track from "Everybody's Talkin'-Good Morning Starshine"? Or are they perhaps all one long track?

Harry

Harry, just read this. I'm at work and the CD is at home; I can't remember clearly enough to answer with confidence. I'll check when I get home and get back with an answer then.

Mike

Would have liked to have rated this higher than Two Stars; a good sample of her work, but to me, more than all I needed to hear...

-- Dave

Better than average FOURSIDER, chiefly because Liza only recorded a few albums for A&M, so for that reason alone it's more comprehensive than is the case for A&M's more prolific acts.
