Logo thought

This just sprang into my addled brain yesterday--I've always thought "Love Music" was Sergio's attempt to "Carpenter-ize" his sound (including covering Carpenters material). I'm wondering if the "graphics wizards" at Bell had the Carpenters logo in mind when they designed the new band font for that album?

I've thought that same thing, but then Vintage 74 came out and it was never seen again.

I guess I see a little "inspiration" there but it's really not much different from other logos and title treatments etc. that were coming out in the '70s. I don't agree that Sergio was trying to "Carpenterize" his sound though... even with his new (with this particular album) focus on English lyrics and American material and the Bones Howe production, he was still miles apart from K&R's lush mellow sound.
