Many of us have always wondered about the lyrics of Mr. Guder. Well Richard sent me the correct lyrics so here goes...

Here's the answer to your question about the lyrics in "Mr. Guder":

"You're everything a robot lives for, clock in at 9 and roll out the
door at 5" - in this case, as a robot rolls on wheels.

Always thought it was walk in at 9 and walk out the door. Oh well.

Thank you Adrew.
I looked up the lyrics in the 30th Anniversary collector's edition
and found even it reads:walk in at 9 and roll out the door at five.
Now I have to learn the new part by heart.
I wonder if I can shake the old lyrics off of my mind as I have sung it for years
I'm also glad that people are getting answered not so soon but eventually.

Something I postulated about over a year ago:

OMG, it's true!
For years I too sang "walk in at 9 and roll out the door", but I just listened to the CTY and Live Japan CD's through headphones and yes, Karen actually sings "clock in at 9"!! :o

Now... what about that stubborn user name of mine?
