On the Tuesday, September 3rd semi final episode of NBC's America's Got Talent, guest celebrity judge Sean Hayes was blown away by the breathing control and style of 12 year old wildcard southern songstress Ansley Burns doing a cover of Carrie Underwood's "Cry Pretty". In fact, he compared her talents to the 1970's pop singer named Karen Carpenter! Sean Hayes is a noted fan of Karen's as he has referenced her several times in the past as well. It was great to hear Karen's name being mentioned on one of today's most popular television shows. Perhaps the perfect guest judge for next season will be pianist, arranger, composer, conductor Richard Carpenter?

Speaking of Karen's vocals, Sean Hayes mentioned Karen's breath control abilities on tonight's episode of America's Got Talent when commenting on young Ansley Burns' performance. You can hear his comments at 3:08 in this clip:

This was also mentioned in Thread: "Karen's Vocal Peak," yesterday.
Richard on "AGT?" Why not, he obviously has a good ear! :)
