Hate to see any good record ruined. Especially what appears to be a white-label promo, which were made in limited supply.

I'm just hoping that this was just a "pose" for the purposes of such photograph, and that the LP was never actually played on that phonograph machine. (Besides, that machine had one speed only -- 78. If it were played, that record would have likely sounded like the Chipmunks.)

It would probably trim the 12" down to a 7" single! No doubt it's a posed photograph, although I wonder why they didn't use some authentic 12" Victrola or RCA Victor shellac.
