Yep, same Chad. According to Wikipedia, he was a staff producer at A&M after he and Jeremy split up in 1968.
I started to audition this album but had to end it after about 3 songs: not very melodic, too noisy and monotonous; and I simply do not like the singing. Stuff like this does well to exhibit the the late '60s/early '70s shift in rock: vocal harmony in rock groups (e.g., The Who, The Beatles) were being ditched left and right for the emerging guitar and/or lead vocal centric efforts.
