Other Female Singers

Olivia's "Have You Never Been Mellow" (album from 1975) is my favorite!! The song "It's So Easy" is a great rocker!!! Her remake of the Rick Nelson 1974 song "Lifestream" is another great song!!

Have any of you heard of Nicole Lvoff?
I found her on Pandora recently — and found her CD on iTunes and some videos from many years ago on YouTube. Next to Karen, she may have the prettiest voice and able to take it low that I can think of. I just decided to write to her contact to see if she's given up recording, and I found out she's about to release some new singles and planning a new album — and he says he thinks she does Karen's song very well. I'm encouraging her to post them on YouTube or put them on her album. Check her out on YouTube, and if you agree, then add your request in a note to [email protected].

Beverly Bremer performing " Don't Say You Don't Remember" , imho would have been a perfect vehicle for Carpenters.

Also the song "We're Free" by Bevely Bremers from 1972.
I really liked Beverly Bremers' album I'll Make You Music. I bought it from the cutout bin many years ago and still have it.
I also seem to remember hearing a version of You Only Live Twice on the radio that was sung by her but I have never seen it on a record.

I had to share this!

The 1968 duet album between Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood has been reissued and remastered on a variety of formats coming with a 20 page booklet containing unseen photos and a new interview with Nancy. Today I got my copy on Sundown Gold vinyl and it is stunning! Light in the Attic have done a superb job of remastering this to give it a fresh, clear sound. IMO one of the best albums of all time, would definitely recommend a listen, an unlikely duo but a perfect match. How cool is this?!

Nice looking LP. I still have some original Nancy Sinatra albums in my collection, but not specifically NANCY & LEE.

However, some of the very best tracks are on her GREATEST HITS album. My favorite was always "Summer Wine" and also came to love "Some Velvet Morning" - Lee's singing in 4/4 while Nancy's parts are a waltz in 3/4. An amazing track.

After digitizing the LP, I sought out a CD as I heard that "Summer Wine" was lengthened on THE HIT YEARS CD. It is indeed about 30 seconds longer with an instrumental fade. The LP's "Summer Wine" has both Nancy and Lee singing on just the right channel with the orchestra centered. The CD version revises the stereo soundstage to put the vocals in the middle and the orchestra surrounding.

Another favorite Lee/Nancy track is "Jackson".

Enjoy the LP!

Thanks! Already on my third spin!

Those are all brilliant songs! I tend to lean more towards the album tracks on this album (Maybe because I've listened to the singles you mentioned a million times?). I'm sure you'd love Nancy & Lee Harry, they followed it up in 1971 with "Nancy & Lee - Again" and completed the trilogy in 2005 with, wait for it... "Nancy & Lee 3"

Speaking of her Greatest Hits @Harry , Light in the Attic put out a new comp to kick off this Nancy Sinatra reissue campaign last year. It has 23 tracks (although missing a few of hits like "Something Stupid", "In Our Time", "Love Eyes", "100 Years" and "The Highway Song").

Another really nicely packaged collection, coloured vinyls, 20 page booklet with unseen photos and interviews. I got the "Arkansas Coal" vinyl.
I wish the Carpenters would get this treatment.

I first heard Some Velvet Morning on the radio way back when I was about 12 or 13 and loved it. The haunting music was great. I never found the album until many years later and have picked up about 4 copies of the lp. Light In The Attic is also supposed to do a release of Nancy and Lee Again and I want that on CD. I did find Nancy and Lee 3 when it was released and I like that one as well.

I'm guessing "Nancy & Lee - Again" will be out around Christmas. It'll be nice to hear those tracks remastered. I'm also curious as to what the bonus tracks will be on it. This one has "Tired of Waiting For You" and "Love is Strange" that were both recorded for this 1968 album but had both been issued in the 90's. There are no Nancy & Lee recordings from the early 70's aside from the album already released, so fingers crossed that means previously unheard songs.

Singer Jordan Hill (Mariah Carey soundalike) "Too Much Heaven" (Remake of The Bee Gees 1979 song) (from her self - titled 1996 album) (audio only & album track) With The Bee Gees on backing vocals!!

From the "Casper" movie soundtrack from 1995 & from her self - titled 1996 album, Jordan Hill "Remember Me This Way" (music video)
