Two clarifications:
The song with the line "Chain, Chain, Chain" is called "Chain of Fools" and was a hit for Aretha Franklin.
The Robert Palmer hit was called "Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)."

Only those of you hip to CANADIAN Recording Artists would know this one:

"Love Me, Love Me" by Frank Mills, who mostly made Instrumentals such as "Music Box Dancer", yet also made a remake of "Poor Little Fool", of which you know of a version by The Late Ricky Nelson in The States.

Dave

...If you love me, love me, Love...why did you ever leave me girl?...if you love me, love me, Love...why did you ever go?......sung by an "organ grinder" as he played, according to the author...
