just a note to say that Rubens' important and very rare 1960 brasilian album originally on PAWAL (Brasil only) has been reissued with original artwork on CD and vinyl coming soon.
The LP entitled Ritmo Fantastico has a very similar sound to the first Sergio Mendes album - Dance Moderno - which also featured Bassini and is interesting because it mixes the new bossa sound with the then current Afro Cuban influence that was still very popular in Brazil.
Note: this is the only legitimate reissue of this title!
