I read that
Carpenters
Songs this artist has covered:
"Reason To Belive" originally by Tim Hardin
"Someone Like You" originally by Tim Hardin.

I'd like to know "Someone Like You".
I only know 'someone like you' in "Reason To Believe" and "Slow Dancing".
I hope someone can help me out on this song. Thank you.

I found a website. They say:

The 5th Dimension Travelling Sunshine Show (1970)
It's an evening of mellow rock in this vintage TV special featuring The 5th Dimension and their special guests Dionne Warwick, Merle Haggard, The Carpenters, all performing such hits as "Light Sings All Over the World," "Someone Like You," "The Games People Play," special medleys and more. 48 min.

Did the Carpenters sing "Someone Like You" on this show?

There is a video (VHS) available of the "5th Dimension Travelling Sunshine Show," and you can still get it from Amazon.com.

On it Karen and Richard sing "Reason to Believe" and "Superstar." Or I guess I should say, they lip-synch "Reason to Believe" and "Superstar" -- the audio is definitely the album versions of the songs.

I think people are confused because the back of the video box labels "Reason to Believe" as "Someone Like You." It's just a case of someone not knowing what the name of the song was, not a new or different song...

David--

Hi! I believed that someone like you would answer my question. Thank you.
They lip-synch, I see. Your explanation of the back lables helps me understand why "Someone Like You" was listed. Thanks again.
